| bummer, i didn't even get 1 trick-or-treater last night. my roommate and i watched edward scissorhands as we waited. i also finished reading the power of full engagement. this is one of the books on the personalmba.com reading list. the book talks about how people need to take breaks in order to stay energized. lots of common sense stuff. i think i have a lot of energy. my issue is that, outside of work, i'm not sure what task to focus my energy on.
oh, also i found my cell phone charger. it was in the bag with the halloween candy. but i already got my new cellphone.
i was cleaning out my closet today, and i have so much stuff. i feel it's a waste to throw it away. things like old cellphones+chargers, old routers, an old camera (which is broken. something weird happened to the lens)+charger+extra battery+a bunch of compact flashes.
i went to bestbuy today and purchased the white album for $12.99. actually, it rang up as $16.99, but i had them price match it to what was listed on bestbuy.com. that's weird the prices don't match. i also bought death cab for cutie's EP, the open door for $3.99 with 10% coupon that my dad forwarded to me.
have any of you seen the promos for the upcoming series, V? do you remember when it was a t.v. mini-series in the 80's? i was telling my roommate how that mini-series totally freaked me out when i was young. i remember the alien skin looked gross. shudder... my roommate has never heard of the mini-series, and proceeded to tell me that i'm old.

| my company sponsored a bunch of us to go to the women's conference in long beach today. i saw maria shriver up close as she was passing through the auditorium. i never realized before, but she is really skinny. it was a fun day with a lot of famous speakers.
i forgot which speaker, but one of them was saying for many women, their middle name is "guilt." i totally have this problem. like when i say the wrong thing to someone; i feel guilty about it for a long time. i also feel guilty about work: that i'm not working enough. which is crazy, because i work a lot. i felt guilty today for going to a conference instead of working on my project. yikes, must stop feeling guilty.

| i lost my cell phone charger. i distinctly remember packing my stuff into my car. and then the last thing i brought was my phone + charger. but then i don't know where i put the charger. i've been searching all around to no avail. what to do in this dilemma...buy a new cell phone. our contract has been up for a few months now.
last friday, stef and i watched kooza, the cirque du soleil performance in santa monica. when i read the website saying the show was on the peir, i was thinking they were going to do it outside. or maybe there was a building by the peir. but actually they set up a big tent right next to the pier. pretty neat. the show itself was good. no real story, but the acrobatics were cool.

| took me almost 5 hours to run/walk ~18 miles today. i walked half of it. my legs and feet were very tired. i travelled down big sycamore canyon road, trying to reach the ocean. but i was too tired to make it all the way and turned back. maybe next time. also for next time, must remember to bring more than just one bottle of water. | | |
| just confirmed my registration, so i am running the santa to the sea half marathon on dec 13. i want to try to get a good time! the course is flat, so my goal is under 2 hours. must practice!! | | |
